Applying for an authorisation

The temporary use of frequencies (PMR, mobile video links), especially for events, requires the issue of a temporary frequency use authorisation by the ARCEP.

It can be obtained by filling in the form and sending it to . A video tutorial is available to help you fill it in.

In response to your request, and after processing by our services, the assignment of a frequency will be notified to you.

The use of these frequencies will be the subject of an authorisation granted by decision of the ARCEP, which will be the legal basis for the invoicing of the fees by the administration. The holders of such an authorisation are subject to the payment of fees for the provision of frequencies and their management, in accordance with the provisions of Decree no. 2007-1532 of 24 October 2007 as amended.

Applicants are informed that a minimum of 2 business days are required between the application and the temporary event to which it relates.

For major events (Tour de France cycle race, 14 July parade, Roland Garros tennis tournament, 24 Hours of Le Mans, etc.), applicants are asked to make their applications with 6 weeks' notice in advance. This is to make it possible to process the applications and coordinate with the assigning authorities - when the case arises - in good conditions.

During such major events, the coordination of the channels used by sound broadcasting equipment subject to the general authorisation scheme by the Agency's services (or the host broadcaster where applicable) is required. To this end, users must indicate the channels used during the event on the frequency application form.

Here you will find information on the use of frequencies subject to general authorisation, in particular from Annex 7 of the applicable National Frequency Assignment Table (TNRBF). French version available here.
