Our missions

Mission detail

The ANFR supports amateur radio operators in all circumstances, both in mainland France and in French overseas territories, from issuing call signs to protecting station transmission and reception quality.

Radio amateurs in French overseas local authorities are invited to contact the ANFR offices in New Caledonia or French Polynesia.

The ANFR organises examination sessions for the amateur services operator certificate at its regional offices and branches.

The ANFR also provides the administrative management of amateur radio activities. It issues licences for personal call signs, special call signs, radio clubs and repeater stations. These activities are provided in mainland France on behalf of the minister for electronic communications.

Finally, the ANFR centralises requests to investigate cases of interference. It must be informed so that they can be processed.
