Exposure to radio installations
The ANFR has a laboratory accredited by COFRAC for measuring exposure to radio waves from cell towers. It is especially to answer public inquiry for their exposure assessment and to contribute to the development of new versions of the measurement protocol published in the Official Journal.
Exposure to radio equipment
Since the end of 2020, the ANFR has a SAR measurement laboratory, which it uses perform studies on the exposure generated by radio equipment carried close to the human body, including mobile phones, and connected devices. The studies performed by the lab are also used to contribute to the development of European and international standards for public exposure.
